A development economist with more than 35 years of experience as a professor, technical adviser, project manager, and international consultant, Dr. Bruce Bolnick joined Nathan Associates in 2003 as Chief Economist for the International Group. At Nathan, he has served as Chief of Party for the first Country Analytical Support project, directed three field projects, and authored or coauthored dozens of papers, including
Dr. Bolnick spent more than 12 years working in Africa and Asia, including posts as Chief of Party or Economic Adviser in the Ministry of Planning and Finance in Mozambique, the Reserve Bank of Malawi, the Ministry of Finance in Zambia, and Bank Indonesia. In addition to his advisory work and consulting, Dr. Bolnick taught economics at Harvard University (HIID and the Kennedy School), Brandeis University, Northeastern University, Duke University and the University of Nairobi. He introduced and directed the Executive Program on Macroeconomic Policy and Management for the Brandeis International Business School. Dr. Bolnick has published dozens of professional papers and three books.
Before joining Nathan, Dr. Bolnick was a Fellow in Development at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government and a Senior Associate at the Harvard Institute of International Development.
