Before joining the faculty at Georgetown University, Dr. Walker served on the faculties of Northwestern University and the Pennsylvania State University and was a research scientist at George Washington University. He also held professional positions with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Small Business Administration. Dr. Walker has served as an editor for several economics and finance journals and is widely published in scholarly journals, including the Journal of Economics and Finance, Journal of Performance Management, Applied Economics, Economia Internazionale, Applied Financial Economics, and Global Finance Journal. He has been the president, vice president, and a trustee of the Financial Management Association.
