Mr. Bourquin, an economist and survey researcher, joined Nathan Associates in 1982. He designs and implements surveys for private clients. For clients involved in litigation or regulatory matters, Mr. Bourquin has conducted web-based and telephone surveys of various populations, such as satellite TV retail dealers, tobacco growers, purchasers of life insurance policies, and veterinarians. His litigation surveys have been used in evaluating liability and in calculating damages. For trade and professional associations, Mr. Bourquin has conducted surveys on business activity, financial and operating information, consumer behavior, compensation, member opinions, technology, and corporate philanthropy.
Mr. Bourquin has conducted survey research for the American Bus Association; American Nursing Association; American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers; American Wind Energy Association; Council on Foundations; Direct Selling Association; Direct Marketing Association; The Electrical Alliance; Equipment Leasing and Finance Association; Greater Washington Society of Association Executives; National Association of Chain Drug Stores; National Bicycle Dealers Association; Recording Industry Association of America; and the Society of Technical Communication.
