Nathan Associates is pleased to announce that Dr. Russell L. Lamb, a noted expert in antitrust economics, damages analysis, and applied economics has joined the firm’s litigation consulting practice as a Senior Vice President, adding to our expertise in these areas.
Dr. Lamb has nearly twenty years of professional experience as an economist. He has provided expert testimony in U.S. District Court and various State courts on class-certification and economic damages in antitrust, RICO, and consumer fraud matters. Courts have cited Dr. Lamb’s testimony in numerous cases. In certifying the class in Eugene Allan, et al., v. Realcomp II, Ltd., et al., the court held that “the Plaintiffs have produced sufficient evidence that common proofs will yield a finding of class-wide damages that predominates over any specific individualized damages. The Lamb Report and Lamb Reply are sufficient to establish this fact.” In certifying the class in In re: Titanium Dioxide Antitrust Litigation, the court found “that Dr. Lamb’s regression analysis accurately reflects the characteristics of the titanium dioxide industry, and the facts in this case.” Dr. Lamb has testified before arbitration panels on complex damages issues, and filed valuation reports before international arbitration tribunals, such as ICSID and ICC.
“We are excited to have Russell and his practice back at Nathan Associates,” says CEO and President, Lakhbir Singh. “His expertise in class certification and damages analysis mesh well with Nathan’s existing expertise. We believe that Russell is a strong addition to the Nathan team.”
Early in his career, Dr. Lamb served on the economic staff of the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. From 1999 through 2004, he was an assistant professor at North Carolina State University. Dr. Lamb has authored more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed economics journals, trade press, and major newspapers; has spoken before dozens of audiences on economic issues, ranging from the U.S. economic outlook to quantifying and measuring antitrust damages; and has been widely quoted in the press and has appeared on Fox Business.
Dr. Lamb earned his doctorate in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and is an adjunct professor of economics at The George Washington University.
