November 17, 2010--On November 19, Ram Tamara, Director of Nathan India, will participate in a conference on competition law in New Delhi. The conference is sponsored by the Centre for Law and Economics of University College London (UCL). Proceedings will be published by Stanford University Press in a series on global competition and law directed by Ioannis Lianos (UCL) and Daniel Sokol (University of Florida).
Panels will cover antitrust and IP, cartels, evidence in competition law, government barriers, joint ventures and distribution, mergers, and enforcement. Dr. Tamara will serve on the cartels panel, discussing damages estimation and market analysis in relation to cartels.
Other members of the cartels panel will include Marcus Bezzi of Australia’s Competition and Consumer Commission, Ariel Ezrachi of the University of Oxford, Scott D. Hammond of the US Department of Justice Antitrust Division, Anurag Goel of the Competition Commission of India, and Maarten Pieter Schinkel of the University of Amsterdam. The cartels panel will be moderated by Hassan Qaqaya of UNCTAD.
