Nathan is providing Consumer Unity & Trust Society (CUTS) International research support for the Competition Reforms for Enhancing Welfare (CREW) project. The purpose of the project is to develop an approach to evaluating the impact of competition reform on consumers and producers in specific product markets in four countries: the Philippines, India, Ghana, and Zambia.

Nathan is developing the research methodology involving primary and secondary data and a mixed methods approach conducting a literature review, and analyzing the staple foods and passenger transport markets in the Philippines, India, Ghana, and Zambia.

We will then work with CUTS to develop recommendations for these markets. Managed by the German Development Corporation (GIZ), the project is sponsored by the UK’s Department of International Development (DFID) and Germany’s Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development.
