Connecting Regional Economies (CORE) was launched in 2008 to help communities in the Eastern, North Central, and Uva Provinces of Sri Lanka rejoin the broader economy after years of civil conflict.

As subcontractor to this project, Nathan Associates is helping micro and small businesses  especially in the agriculture, dairy, fishery, and tourism sectors raise productivity and improve livelihoods.

We are specifically helping value chains establish business connections between local producers and outside buyers; helping producers gain access to capital, equipment, agricultural services, training, and basic technology; and collaborating with government counterparts to support policies that improve the environment for growth in these sectors.
